Where creative direction meets cultural research

Born in South Korea and raised in the United States, Julie Park is a visual artist and researcher whose work integrates photography, design, and food culture. Since 2016, Park has worked as an independent photographer, delivering client-focused projects that merge artistic vision with conceptual rigor. Her portfolio spans creative direction, event documentation, and digital media, including coverage of the AOMG “Follow the Movement” America Tour. Her work has been exhibited internationally in solo and group shows, including Dreaming of Julie: A Retrospective of Identity. Through her practice, Park examines how food, photography, and cultural identity generate meaningful narratives that resonate across global audiences.

Park earned her BFA in Photography, graduating summa cum laude from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2022, and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Food Studies at New York University as a recipient of the Global Citizen Scholarship. She previously completed foundation studies at the University of Washington, where she participated in the Honors Program.

Park has cultivated a cross-cultural perspective shaped by experiences in Seoul, Dallas, Seattle, Providence, and New York City. Her extensive travels have strengthened her adaptability and ability to connect with diverse communities, qualities that inform her creative and research practice.

Her outgoing spirit and collaborative approach continue to shape projects that bring people together through shared cultural and sensory experiences.

Looking ahead, Park hopes to collaborate with dream clients in the fields of art, fashion, food, and technology—ranging from cultural institutions and culinary innovators to global brands invested in authentic storytelling. She seeks projects that challenge conventional boundaries and enable her to merge visual practice with food culture, creating works that spark dialogue and foster deeper cross-cultural understanding.
